Daniela Vélez-Clucas is a Healthcare Justice/Immigration Staff Attorney committed to social, economic, and racial justice. Daniela most recently worked as a supervising attorney at the National Immigrant Justice Center representing unaccompanied immigrant children and their families in an array of immigration matters. Prior to that, Daniela was the Restorative Justice Project Legal Coordinator at University of Illinois at Chicago’s Law School, where she also earned her J.D. In addition to immigration law, Daniela has a background in criminal law and restorative justice and brings her lived experience as an immigrant herself and an immigration lawyer to further the Shriver Center’s mission.
