Everyone deserves access to affordable, comprehensive, culturally appropriate healthcare, no matter their income, race, gender, or where they're from.
People need to stay healthy so they can work, take care of their families, and be active members of their communities. Racism is the major driver of inequities embedded in our health system. The legacy of structural racism and present-day systemic biases have resulted in generational distrust, provider bias against people of color, lack of quality hospitals, all leading to disparities in health access and outcomes in particular for Black people, as well as other people of color and immigrants.
Healthcare is a human right. The high cost of care means millions of families have no access to the critical care all human beings deserve.
We are intentional about addressing barriers to healthcare that specific communities experience.
