Women’s Law and Policy Project

Women need access to educational opportunities and fair workplaces.

The Shriver Center works to improve the lives and opportunities of low-income women and girls.

  • We advocate for policies that help students who are parents, expectant parents, or survivors of domestic or sexual violence stay in school, stay safe, and complete their educations.
  • We ensure the rights of low-income working women to reasonable accommodations while pregnant.
  • We advocate for employment protections and family-friendly benefits for low-wage workers, especially in jobs commonly held by women.
