MacKenzie Speer Advocacy Program Associate

MacKenzie Speer is a Program Associate for the Advocacy Department, working with the Economic Justice and the Health Care Justice Units.

She directs the Advancing Strategies to Align Programs project, a collaborative effort of the Shriver Center, Voices for Illinois Children, and EverThrive Illinois, to streamline access to work supports for low-income individuals and families. MacKenzie served with the Shriver Center as an AmeriCorps VISTA from 2014-15, supporting the Responsible Budget Coalition and public benefits advocacy. She graduated from Macalester College (2014) with majors in Neuroscience Studies and Psychology.
