Kate Miller is a postgraduate fellow in the Community Justice Department, where she focuses on increasing the accessibility of government issued photo ID's for disenfranchised populations. Miller joined the Shriver Center in 2017 after earning her J.D. from the University of Chicago. While in law school, she clerked for the Exoneration Project, the Illinois Torture Inquiry and Relief Commission, and the Office of the Appellate Defender. An Omaha native, Miller earned a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and served on the board of the ACLU of Nebraska prior to moving to Chicago.
