Shammara H. Henderson of Henderson & Grohman, PC practices in the areas of criminal defense, plaintiff’s injury, employment discrimination, civil rights, and victim representation. She also presents throughout the country on issues regarding law enforcement; heroin and opiate addiction; civil rights and criminal civil rights; trial advocacy, and electronic discovery (eDiscovery).
Shammara grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and earned a B.A. from American University and a J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law. She clerked for Justice Charles W. Daniels on New Mexico Supreme Court . After that, she was an Assistant District Attorney and later an Associate Counsel in the Office of Governor Bill Richardson. She then became an Assistant US Attorney and prosecuted complex drug trafficking and child pornography cases. She also defended the United State in civil matters. Shammara is the recipient of multiple 40 under 40 awards from both local and national bar associations.
