Through the Racial Justice Training Institute (RJTI), we are developing a national network of equal justice advocates committed to advancing a coordinated racial justice advocacy agenda.
RJTI is a groundbreaking national leadership program, grounded in a commitment to race-equity as an integral and essential part of anti-poverty advocacy. Following six weeks of intensive training, Fellows join a national network of RJTI alumni who are advancing race equity all throughout the country.
Now in it’s fourth year, RJTI has cultivated 117 advocates representing 62 organizations in 23 states. The RJTI alumni network continues to work in concert on several issues, including education equity, fair housing, and immigrants’ rights. RJTI Fellows have also provided innovative advocacy approaches and civil litigation strategies in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
