Health Care Story Collection Project

The Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law is a national law and policy center that takes action to end poverty through policy development, communications, and impact litigation. The Shriver Center is collecting stories about people's experiences, good and bad, with the American health care system. We want people's stories to celebrate, use, and safeguard what is already good about the health care system and to drive us toward system improvement and health care for all.

We're particularly interested in stories from people who have recently lost insurance or are worried about losing insurance (due to layoffs, employer no longer offering a plan, etc.), from small business owners, from people who must buy health insurance on the individual market, and from people whose health conditions have made it difficult to obtain quality, affordable health care coverage.

We will use these stories to shape the current debate on health care reform, because the American people deserve quality, affordable health care choices for all.

If you would like to share a story, please fill out our story collection form. (Note: All stories are confidential, and we will always get your formal consent before using your story in any way.)
