Economic Justice

Low-income people face many complicated barriers in seeking to better their lives. Shriver Center advocates take a multi-faced approach to remove these barriers and advance public policy that provides the stability and support all people need.

We work to ensure that poor people have access to income supports, such as cash assistance and food and nutrition benefits, that provide a basic level of economic stability. We campaign for access to work supports, like child care assistance, and education, training, and employment programs that give individuals opportunities to increase their earning capacity and move out of poverty.
